Just like many others I was looking for an additional income working from home. Very quickly I came accross Nick Marks's programme called AffiliateHijack. He claimed how unique his system was, offered money back guarantee and what was most important to me, his product discription appeared to be honest claiming that this product 'was coplete', 'you will not need any additional set up costs, it is ready for you to start earning money now'.
By that time I was ready to sign up. I searched the net for reviews and all I came accross was how great the product was. So, being a complete beginner I signed up. Felt assured as I opt to make a payment via Paypal. Soon I make a payment then there is a whole list of other 'one time offers' which I managed not to subscribe to. Instantly I have received an email to activate my subscription. I thought great! now I can start working immediatelly! Just like promissed. Then, you get offered free website and at the end of signing up you are kindly asked to pay £126 for a WEBSITE HOSTING!!!!!!!! In my world this tops it all. If you are new to this, you can get hosting for as cheap as $10.
Almost forgot, before I went to 'activate' my website I viewed Nick Mark's 'step by step' video after which I was not sure what he was actually suggesting to do. He has explained very clearly how to become an affliate marketer. Join the affiliate, choose a product, record a video promoting a project, how to get a squeeze window, etc. And that was it. Here is your step by step guide!?
I have to say, that when I joined his programme I was very new to all this and naive of course. But since then, I have found all this information freely available on line. But when you are starting out a promissed 'step by step' would have been nice!
Either way, after the initial shock of £126 for hosting I thought I'll email and maybe there is a way around it how I could start without having to spend the money I did not have at the time. As I was still keen to give it a go. Gues what? No response. Surprised, don't be, apparantely it is common. In the mean time I keep receiving Nick Mark's sales emails promoting all sorts of stuff and going on about how successfull he is so that other people work for him. Dear Nick, where are those people? I have sent numerous emails without any luck. Then I have contacted his 'supposed' customer service line that was on the initial purchase receipt. Emailed them, no response. Then I called, some ignorant guy who was trying to be 'helpful' told me that their company have not deal with Nick Mark's Enterprise for over 8 months now. So he kindly gave me another email address for Mr. Marks. I sent an email and had no response of course.
Well, I thought I paid by Paypal, so that should be ok. I have opened a dispute and gues what? No response!!!!! How is that for a surprise? He still has some time to respond before Paypal takes it in their hands, but I do not have much hope.
I sit there thinking am I the only one? Why didn't anybody write about it on line? What about all those wonderful reviews?! Then I came accross somebody who had similar experience to mine and it transipires, that when you get that 'free website' of his it is his own programme that you will be selling!!!!!!!!!! The same one that I naivly purchased. And all of those wonderful review sites that you read will praise his course and then at the end will have his link to check it out only to get their comission!!!!! Now I have to say, Nick Mark is a genius! This way his product sounds like the best thing on a planet.
I have even came across this website that claims 'they will not sell you anything' only at the end to recommend Nick Marks's website with a link that they all get paid for.
I came across the video on you tube, which seemes to be taken by someone who has most likely had something to to with Affiliate Hijack programme and as you can see it is very poor.
Many things I keep thinking of, maybe the systemad rewies are old, maybe people who went and spent all that ridiculous money for hosting and god knows what else, have suceeded? Maybe. But as for me, if you say that your programme is complete and no additional spending is required, then I do not expect to spend another £126 for hosting (sorry, can't get over this one!) and potentially even more.
I thought I'll express my experience here for those who are considering Nick Marks's Affiliate Hijack programme. Read on about his other venture, it gets just better!
By the way, what has Affiliate Hijack to do with his product? Nothing.
